    Despite people’s best efforts to establish ‘win-win’ situations, occasionally organizations find themselves at odds with other companies or even employees. For these situations, mediation is an alternative to litigation that often results in faster, fairer, less-expensive settlements. Mediation is a process where the parties agree to appoint an independent third-party to assist them in reaching a voluntary settlement. Unless established at the beginning of the process, mediators do not make binding recommendations. Participants may terminate the process at any time and the process is confidential and without prejudice. Each party is encouraged to seek independent legal advice, and where a voluntary settlement is achieved, it only becomes binding when the parties have concluded a settlement agreement. With trained mediators on staff, Avenue Rhodes can assist you in initiating and/or understanding the mediation process and reaching a fair and equitable resolution.
